The Vaughn Dnar River drains Lake Kronov in Tepest. The Vaughn Dnar passes through Kellee in Tepest and Liara in Nova Vaasa, before being joined by the Trished River just east of Liara and bending to the southeast. It is joined by the Borchava River halfway between Liara and Kantora, and continues east by southeast, passing just north of Kantora, and is joined by the Dnar River, becoming the South Dnar River. The south Dnar River drains into the Nocturnal Sea just north of Egertus at Guldstrand Beach via the Katsmund Canyon.

It is navigable, with difficulty owing to its current, by small ships between Kantora and the sea, with cargos being transferred to and from larger vessels at the beach. It is too deep to be forded and all the more so as it descends into the canyon. Bridges consistent with small ships pose an engineering problem, but none are mentioned, so ferry service for crossing at Kantora and at its mouth, and perhaps in between, would make sense.

Stonegard, the fortified seat of the Bolshnik family and of its patriarch Prince Othmar, sits opposite Kantora on the north bank of the Vaughn Dnar. Logic would dicate that it also sits just east of the Dnar river, placing it in the southwest most corner of the Ehrendton.
