Azalin's Phylactery is a giant golden dragon skull (as in, a dragon's skull made of gold, rather than the skull of a gold dragon) that contains Azalin's lifeforce. It is located in Castle Avernus, near the top of the main tower. Originally, the lich king's phylactery had the shape and size of a child's skull. Its current, unwieldy form and massive size are a not-so-subtle reminder to Azalin that he is trapped in Darkon and the Demiplane of Dread, and unable to travel freely.
