A Vassalich who strongly resembles his creator, Azalin and resides in Azalin's Crypt Lair. Out of a sense of nostalgia for his lost life, Balipur has taken up biology as a pastime. He has created a breed of spider: the White Spider. He is fond of dissection and is interested in creating living animals of parts taken from dead ones. It is unclear if he has made any appreciable progress towards his goal.[1]
Balipur was a native of Darkon whose crimes brought him to Azalin's attention. Azalin's punishment was turning Balipur into a vassalich. Ultimately, Azalin used Balipur as a decoy during the Grand Conjunction.[1]

During the Shrouded Years, Balipur is left without a master. He begins gathering information on how to break free of his enslavement and become a mortal again. Balipur's ultimate goal is to construct a ritual that is the inversion of the Requiem and use it to restore him to mortal form.[2]
Balipur settles in Bartakass' Manor near Lestaz and consorts with a number of undead monsters to steal the arcane lore books he needs for the transformation. These scoundrels include Frostshadow, Direhand, Blackorn. Though he bribed and intimidated them to gain their compliance, Balipur has also put a subtle magic on them that acts as a suggestion spell. to this end, Balipur's minions have been attacking passersby to steal their arcane lore.[2]
