Black bears are a species of bear with black fur, although brown and even white colors are not uncommon. They are smaller than brown bears[1][2]. The bears found in Barovia are a small variety of black bear[3]. Black bears can be found in several other domains, including Borca[4], Darkon[5], Falkovnia[6], Forlorn[7], Invidia[8], Kartakass[9], and Valachan[10].
