The term Hand of Power refers to a family of dread magic items made by hags using the hands of executed criminals. The Mindefisk Sisters (also known as the Three Hags of Tepest, the darklords of Tepest) are rumored to have developed the method of creating the hands but since then leaked the secrets of their creation to others of their kind.^[1]

Common Characteristics

Each Hand of Power is a grotesque fusion of hand and candle that may not be detected as magical or dispelled until lit. As previously mentioned, manufacture of a a Hand of Power (or at least, of the ones described in Forged of Darkness requires the involvement of a hag plus the severed hand of an executed criminal. Hands of Power are thought to burn for 13 hours.^[1]
