Forfarian Calendar

In their zeal to preserve their cultural identity, the Forfarian people are an exception within the Core to not use the Barovian Calendar. Instead, they rely upon an elaborate oral history that goes back almost two thousand years before Forfar entered the Mists and became Forlorn. (As of 756 BC, the current year was 2143).

The Calendar's first year is that of the unification of the Kingdom of Firfair by King Caral FirFair into a single kingdom. This unification is what brought the first cohesive collective cultural and social identity to the Firfairians. (The pronunciation "Forfarian" is not used until the Merionite invasion many, many generations later.)
