Felgmøsge

The Felgmøsge ("Mistmoss River") enters Hazlan from the Misty Border along a channel strewn with huge boulders that glow dreamily with a phosphoresent moss. But the water is soon cascading down over an obstacle course of rocks, shelves, and pools, sewn thickly with slimy weeds, and towards the Ensommark ("Lonely Plain"). The pools are home to aberrent crustacean life seen no were else in the known world. The Saniset River is joined from the south by the Felgmøsge a ways west of Sly-Var. The Saniset then holds true to its east by southeast course as it flows gently to the Nocturnal Sea.

The Genspejle is unnavigable save perhaps for on the smallest of rafts at its misty source. And the creatures that call it home have been known to make the Saniset nigh unnavigable by times too. The river is very probably fordable at many spots, but none of the locals would care to do so. The fool who tried or who tried to collect water from it might well end up being dinner for a chuul. The immediate vicinity of the river, at the very least, is shunned, save by the most intrepid of thrill seekers.

Prior to the Great Upheaval in 740 BC, when Hazlan, Barovia and Kartakass were bordered to the south by Bluetspur, Mount Grysl was the source of the Felgmøsge and perhaps also of the fell things that still call it home.
