The Friend (NPC)

The Friend is a disembodied, incorporeal outsider of unknown origin and name that seeks to comfort and avenge the Lost Ones, for whom it considers "kindred souls". With a Lost One's permission, the Friend can merge with a Lost One and together they can become a "Soul-Mate". The Soul-Mate is much more alive and vital than the Lost One was previously, but such a person may be driven to avenge the wrongs that drove the person to become a Lost One in the first place.
