Kurtepeta is a village in western Sri Raji known for its turmeric. The East Rajian Trading Company has approached the Kurtepetans with a deal, offering generous financial terms in exchange for an exclusive agreement. Some Kurtepetans want to accept the deal, but others—noting the presence of armed Easties in Pradmapura—argue against it.[1]
Kurtepeta is also known for a local festival called "Unchaining of the Ghosts".[1]
