The conquered are not the liberated. A conqueror fights to impose his or her will upon the conquered. This may be uniquely for his or her own pleasure or it may be for their good (as he or she see it). To the conquered it often makes little difference. Vlad Drakov and Elena Faith-hold are not alike in their motives but their militarism yields results that are similar indeed for their victims.
