Residing in Bluetspur, Athaekeetha is an Illithid Vampire, indeed the final specimen created by Lyssa von Zarovich and the High Master Illithid before giving up on the project. Like the other vampiric illithid tadpoles, Athekeetha was thought destroyed and then discarded, only to regenerate later. Now Athaekeetha wanders Bluetspur (and when Bluetspur was part of the Core, perhaps in the neighboring domains), preferring the surface as opposed to the underground passages favored by the rest of its kind. He is however not alone, being supported by a gang of supporters. Also he shows a somewhat higher level of intelligence than the typical members of its kind.[1]
