Natives or other lands or even other worlds become Darkonian when they succumb to the memory altering power of the [[domain]].
Individuals from other [[domains]] or even other worlds become Darkonian once the [[Book of Names]] has completed the inscription of their life story, effacing their memory of being foreigners and rewriting their memory of the past as that of a native Darkonian. Such individuals do, however, retain their original nationality and indeed recover their memories should they ever leave [[Darkon]].
