A witch may be simply be a spellcaster. In this usage it is a term for describing spellcasters of all types as the distinction between them may be unknown to the speaker or may be pointless to the speaker, as for example among the Tepestani. In this usage it also tends to be perjorative. A mob in the Land of Mists can be expected to be heard chanting "burn the witch" rather than "burn the spellcaster", "burn the adept", "but the druid", "burn the wizard", etc. Alternatively, witch is the title of a priestess of Hala.
