"S"' Magical Bracers

Canon

A single bracer, crafted of dark leather, with a single dark stone set upon it. This bracer was personally crafted by Azalin Rex and given to "S" by his undead minions after she had finished her survey of Darkon. Once worn, the bracer proved impossible for "S" to remove.

"S" was unable to analyze the true function and purpose of the bracer (although she was able to detect an aura of Necromancy from it) but suspected it to be responsible for the fact that she somehow survived her encounter with the werewolves of Verbrek, in spite of her memories of having been savaged to death by them.

Potential canon

If the Ravenloft license to Sword and Sorcery Studios had allowed, "S" would have discovered that the bracer was indeed responsible for her 'survival'. The bracer was constructed based on the principles of a lich's phylactery, which had locked onto "S" the instant she started wearing it. Whenever "S" died, the bracer would use a magic jar-effect to send her mind and soul to a fresh clone-body grown in Azalin's laboratory in Castle Avernus. Kargat agents would transport the clone to a desired location and sweep that location clean of all potential witnesses, allowing "S" to continue her journey as though nothing had happened.

"S" would come to realize that even death could not free her from her place in Azalin's latest hideous scheme. This would push her to sacrifice herself to the God-Brain in Bluetspur, depriving Azalin of her mind and soul so he could not resurrect her in another clone-body.
