Also in the wake of the Requiem, the Nocturnal Sea was revealed and with its appearance the upper reaches of the Vuchar River, especially above the Khourx River, began to rise and fall like the sea itself, seemingly having fallen under the tidal influence of the sun and the moon, with the result that craft are left high and dry for a significant part of each day. Nonetheles, barges from Nevuchar Springs still depart for Maykle and other downriver ports.
