Ultimately, it is also the source of Lake Temporus, from which springs the Tempe River. The foothills to its northeast are the source of the Khourx River and the Foaming River. Mount Nyid is the source of the Dnar River.
The foothills of the Mountains of Misery are jagged. To the south they are called the Forgotten Hills.
Creatures abiding in the mountains and foothills include goblins, kobolds, darklings, and broken ones.
Gold, silver, and gems are mined and such mining is the primary activity. The dwarven settlement is Tempe Falls. The gnomish one is Mayvin.
