Vuchar River
The Vuchar River is a major tributary of the Musarde River. The Vuchar River traverses the length of Darkon, bends southwest into Falkovnia, running along its northwestern frontier, before joining the Musarde in the northeast corner of Dementlieu. The Vuchar River has its source in near Nevuchar Springs in Darkon. The Khourx River or Korst River, the Somulus River, the Tempe River, the Nezron River and the Corvus River in Darkon and the Zapadnost River in Falkovnia and the Black River in Falkovnia are its tributaries.
The Vuchar River was easily navigable to Nevuchar Springs, within a mile of its source, albeit in progressively smaller craft. The Requiem altered that situation. Il Aluk went from being the most important port on the river to becoming an insurmountable obstacle to river traffic. The shroud surrounding the dead city and the aggressive undead calling it home, effectively cut the river in twain. Also in the wake of the Requiem, the Nocturnal Sea was revealed and with its appearance the upper reaches of the Vuchar River, especially above the Khourx River, began to rise and fall like the sea itself, seemingly having fallen under the tidal influence of the sun and the moon, with the result that craft are left high and dry for a significant part of each day. Nonetheles, barges from Nevuchar Springs still depart for Maykle and other downriver ports.
