Paridon is a domain designed around the idea of social decay, one which happens to be infested with dread doppelgangers. The darklord is the doppelganger Sodo, and is referred to by the human inhabitants as "Flickerflame" because he cannot control his shape-changing powers and is constantly "flickering" in form. Paridon and the domain of Timor (located within the sewers) form the Zherisia cluster.

- 586 BC - The so-called Bloody Jack goes on his first murder spree. In reality, he is a doppelganger servant of Sodo whom commits the murders on Sodo's behalf using the Fang of the Nosferatu. This is the first time Sodo uses the knife (by his proxy) to gain invulnerability.[12]
- 599 BC - Bloody Jack goes on his second murder spree.[13]
- 612 BC Bloody Jack goes on his third murder spree.[13]
- 625 BC - Bloody Jack goes on his fourth murder spree.[13]
- 638 BC - Bloody Jack goes on his fifth murder spree.[13]
- 651 BC - Bloody Jack goes on his sixth murder spree.[13]
- 664 BC - Bloody Jack goes on his seventh murder spree.[13]
- 677 BC - Bloody Jack goes on his eighth murder spree.[13]
- 681 BC - S.H. Williby is born.[14]
- 690 BC - Bloody Jack goes on his ninth murder spree.[13]
691 BC - Zherisian Parliament allows the Stamp Act to expire, which leads to the success of news publications on a timely basis.[15]
- 700 BC - As the century turns, there is five major newspapers competing for readers in Paridon.[15]
- 703 BC - Bloody Jack goes on his tenth murder spree.[13]
- 716 BC - Bloody Jack goes on his eleventh murder spree.[13]
- 716 BC - the Monograph is strangely silent on news about the Bloody Jack murders. Lawsuits subsequently kills the newspaper.[15]
- 721 BC - The Newsbill becomes the king of the newspapers, warranting no major competitors.[15]
- 729 BC - Bloody Jack goes on his twelfth murder spree.[13]
- 737 BC - Shelly Holmes begins her career as a freelance private detective.[16]
- 740 BC - The Grand Conjunction occurs. All of Zherisia save for Paridon disappears, leaving the economy and food supply in crisis.
- 740 BC-741 BC - During the winter, numerous riots break out as food shortages and poor conditions wore down quality of life for the people of Paridon. A curfew is establishing until the following spring of 741 BC.[17]
- 742 BC - Alfred Larner finishes his degree at the University of Richemulot. He travels back home to Paridon and starts recruiting members there.[20]
- 743 BC - Child Labor and Education Bill is passed.[21]
- 747 BC - Everybody in the Zherisian countryside that were engulfed by the Mists are official declared deceased.[21]
- 750 BC - On the tenth anniversary of the Great Upheaval, the island of Zherisia is declared no more. A memorial consisting of a fountain with an everburning torch is erected.[21]
- 755 BC - Bloody Jack goes on another killing spree in Paridon.[23]
- 756 BC - Chief Constable Francine Maxwell is made the official chief constable of Paridon, removing the word "acting" from her title.
- 756 BC - Daguerreotype photography is invented and immediately becomes popular.[24]
- 757 BC - The middle class vote in a commission on electoral reform.[21]
