Former inhabitants of Darkon once were, but no longer are, residences of the land. The dead resting peaceably in their graves and the living who have emigrated for other lands are former inhabitants of the domain. All the residences of Il Aluk at the time of the Requiem, so long as they have chosen to remain there rather than returning to Darkon to escape the rule of Death or for the convenience of being nearer to their living prey, are also former residents of Darkon. Necropolitans in general and the Slain in particular are overwhelming former inhabitants of Darkon.
